How should we perform the beautician-level "wash, cut and blow"?

Winter is cold, and bathing dogs has become a long-standing problem. However, although the frequency is a little lower, it still needs to be bathed. How can we bathe steadily, accurately and quickly in winter, and achieve beauty-level cleanliness and comfort?

1. Warmth

Before bathing, keeping warm in winter is the most important thing. If there is no heating in the bathroom, it is best to move the heater or heater to the bathroom, let the temperature rise, then turn off the heater, turn on the hot water, and keep the bathroom at a certain temperature. In addition, the bath towel and hair dryer should be prepared in the bathroom, and do not go in and out of the bathroom during the bath to lower the temperature.

2. Comb

Don't rush to put the dog in the bathtub, a thorough combing is the first step. It is best to use a special comb to comb the dog's body all over, remove dead hair and make the coat smooth, so that the hot water can soak the coat faster during the bath, making the bathing process faster. If there are already knots on the dog, you need to use professional knot-opening tools to remove them, but in winter, don't shave the dog's coat in large areas, which is not conducive to heat preservation.

3. Wash

What should the water temperature be?

In winter, the water temperature should be kept at 39℃~42℃, which is slightly higher than the dog's body temperature. However, the dog's skin is more fragile than humans and is more susceptible to high temperature damage. Therefore, even in winter, the temperature should not be too hot.

4. How to apply bath gel?

The bath gel needs to be poured evenly on the dog's coat. Don't pour a lot of it in the same place at once, and then apply it to other parts of the body. This will cause some places to be over-cleaned, while some places will always be not cleaned. It is recommended that you can use a high-quality concentrated bath gel, dilute it in proportion and use it all at once, which will have a better cleaning effect.

5. When is it considered clean?

After evenly applying the bath gel and rubbing it, rinse it repeatedly with clean water until the coat feels astringent, which means it is clean. If the dog is too dirty, you can emphasize the key parts and wash it again.

6. Should I use conditioner?

Of course, especially in the dry autumn and winter. You need to apply the conditioner evenly on the dog's coat in the same way as applying bath gel. You can apply more on the tail, chest and other parts. Massage for 2 to 3 minutes and then rinse with clean water. You can also use some hair smoothing spray or anti-static spray after blow-drying.

7. Blowing

Blowing is the last step of the entire washing and care process, but it is very important. Before that, wipe the dog as dry as possible, and then blow dry it in the bathroom or in a warm room with a similar temperature. You need to control the dog, push aside the wet coat, and blow dry the dog's coat layer by layer from the inside out. When it is 80% dry, you also need to comb the dog's coat again with a pin comb.

After these steps are completed, a dog with smooth and beautiful hair is basically formed!
